New Terminal at Punta Cana International Airport
Tourism takes on new momentum in the country with the opening of the terminal B the November 29, 2014, the Punta Cana International Airport may serve 3000 passengers per hour. Ceremony headed by President of the Republic, Danilo Medina, which was attended by special guests and personalities of the national tourism sector.
The President of Grupo Punta Cana, Frank Rainieri, announced in the coming months remodeling and expansion of the terminal A and the start of construction of the Blue Mall Punta Cana and Corbanitos project in Bani, Peravia.
Facilities for passengers
The Punta Cana Group officially launched this November 29th the new Terminal B of the Punta Cana International Airport (in the east), with a ceremony headed by President of the Republic, Danilo Medina, which was attended by special guests and Personality national tourism sector.
1,100 more jobs
Also, the Business Vice President of Punta Cana Group, Frank Elías Rainieri, explained that the terminal will be the most modern and efficient Caribbean and add 1,100 jobs to the 6,000 existing.

While, the Tourism Minister, Francisco Javier García, pointed out that the execution of this work indicates that when “the private sector pushes, the government also pushes”.
He added that the works constructed by the Government in this area, President Medina is driving the most comprehensive destination in the Caribbean in tourism.
